I sat in the grass for a long time reading a book. I thought this was a little stump sticking up, but when I looked closer, I realized it was not. It was a young prairie dog being very very still. I'm sure he didn't even move a limb for a good ten minutes. Shortly after I took the picture it took off into the grass.
